Like many of us, I'd bounce back and forth between the two stations, but if I had to choose, it was always the ZOO. It was even that way with people in the biz it seems. In the early days, the ZOO lost some airstaff to Q102 promising greener pastures, but in the end, way more talent that had previously worked for Q102 went over to the ZOO. Some of those names...
Tempie Lindsey, Doug Saye, Randy Davis and John Michaels, just to name a few.

Every Maverick needs an Ice Man to make them better. The other station suffered the same fate as the Zoo, not from lousy effort. I wouldn’t boot any of that staff off of my pub table and, per Wildcard, some have hung out with us recently. Plenty of room under the nostalgia tent for fun people. Rock on, Zoo.

Hey, I think we can all agree that Dallas radio really rocked back then. I remember any time I was out of town, I was always happy to get back close enough to get Dallas radio stations again.
