RIP John Sykes

Lost one of our guitar greats earlier his week. Pour one out for John Sykes.
If you're not familiar with the name, you've heard his amazing guitar work guaranteed.
Whether it was a track from Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Blue Murder or another incarnation, John's playing always caught my ear as a young wannabe axe man.
David Coverdale spent years getting little attention with Whitesnake until John re-recorded the guitar parts for his Slide It In album for the US market, giving it a harder edge with a brighter guitar sound. John was the main creative force behind the multi-platinum Whitesnake album that followed before Coverdale grew jealous and cut John loose and out of the royalties.
Check out both of the Blue Murder albums if you like guitar heavy rock.
RIP brother. Thanks for the riffs.
