We’re thrilled to invite all our local thezoorocks.com listeners to come out and support the next generation of young talent at the Wildflower! Battle of the Bands Qualifying Round this Saturday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Highlands Brewery in Richardson, Texas.

This is where it all begins for the 2026 competition presented by The Zoo. Up to 12 bands (all members 21 and under) will each deliver a high-energy 12-minute set featuring one original song and one cover from the Wildflower! lineup. Judges including our own Wildcard will pick two bands to advance straight to the finals, while two more will move on to an online fan vote for the third spot. The top three will then battle it out live on the Texans Credit Union Stage at the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival on Sunday, May 17.

It’s going to be an afternoon packed with fresh music, big dreams, and that unmistakable raw energy only young bands can bring. Whether you’re a longtime listener, a local music lover, or just looking for a fun Saturday afternoon, this is the perfect chance to discover tomorrow’s stars and cheer them on from the start.
