Gotta Let Me Know

Alright Zoo Freaks, the Crew is rolling "Gotta Let Me Know" by Rebels Opera, and this one has that old arena kick with a little dirt still on the boots. The single landed in the middle of July 2026, and it sits as track four on the Nashville quartet's debut album, Call Of The Night, which came out August 19. The band put it plain when the single dropped: your wait is over. Artwork came from their pal Alex Stiff at Stiff Media, and a fan named Ernie Wilber heard it a few times and told them it had a Kix vibe. The guys wrote back that he hadn't missed the record, and pointed him at the shop so he could grab a copy when the album shipped.

The song was written by Paul Klein, Tuk Smith, Clint Richardson, and Tate Richardson, produced by Tuk Smith, and mixed and mastered by Anthony Focx, the same ears behind work for Buckcherry, Beautiful Creatures, and Alice Cooper. The official video isn't a studio set piece. It was shot live at The Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with Alex Stiff directing and Ed Rode on the second camera. The lyric is a straight shot: don't need love carved in stone, just something you can hold, and quit the loaded lines. Paul Klein has said the whole record was aimed at that Mutt Lange and Bob Rock feel, real Marshalls, live drums, and hooks big enough for the back row.

Rebels Opera got going in Nashville in the spring of 2025, March and April, after the four of them had already been circling each other on the local rock scene for years. Brothers Tate Richardson on vocals and guitar and Clint Richardson on lead guitar, bassist Paul Klein, and drummer Grady Steel finally said let's build a kick-ass rock band, and everybody was in. Paul has told the story of meeting Tate, Clint, and producer Tuk Smith on the same night at a Christmas cancer fundraiser at Basement East. In a town that runs on country, the rock guys tend to stick together. Tuk calls himself the hidden sixth member. He was in the room from the birth of the band, co-writing and shaping the sound at Sienna Studios. They tore up Rock Fest in 2025, and the debut record, ten songs built for the stage, is the proof they were after. Tate has said his first rock show was Bon Jovi on the Have a Nice Day tour, and the band still name-checks AC/DC, Def Leppard, Cinderella, and Kix as the records they grew up on.
